In 1964 the company operated as a delegation of N.D.I. Ingenieros Consultores S.A. of Madrid, was dissolved in 1970, when the president and the vice president passed away. In 1970 Torroja & Pou Ingenieros consultores S.A., formed by Román Torroja Llop and Teodoro Pou Andreu, Doctors of Civil Engineering, took charge of the staff, technical archives and contractual commitments.
Politécnica de Ingeniería y Arquitectura S.A. started at the beginning of 1989, when Torroja & Pou, Ingenieros consultores S.A. was restructured and extended.
After the approval of the new Decree-Law of Professional Companies, the company has become Politécnica de Ingeniería y Arquitectura, S.L.P., a limited company, in accordance with the legislation.
It is consolidated as a company of professional partners who develop their career exclusively in the company, which statutorily belongs 100% to the professional partners. This step guarantees its full professional independence.
